The Haybarn is separate from the stall barn, and has a 36′ x 36′ loft accessible by stairs that can hold up to 650 bales of hay. (That ought to get ‘em through the Winter!) We load the hay through the loft door on the North side of the barn. For ease of feeding we keep at least a week’s supply of hay in the stall barn, and can store a month’s supply in that barn using the small loft between the tack and feed rooms.
The Haybarn, which is 36′ x 60′ overall, is also where we keep machinery, tools and equipment, including the tools necessary for keeping the arena in top condition. In addition, we have restroom facilities, as well as a washer and dryer for sheets and blankets located in the Haybarn.
By the way, both barns are equipped with Sirius Satellite Radio. So, whether you’re grooming your horse, or washing blankets, you can keep up with your favorite music, news and entertainment.
